Check battery voltage without running vehicle, should read 12.4 minimum. if it's lower, recharge or replace battery
battery read good with auto zone**, any alternatives???
When you say it doesn't crank, that means it doesn't do anything. Is that correct or is it trying to start but it doesn't
when you try to crank it after about 8 cranks it will crank then shut off and seems to worst* the more i try to crank
HAVE TO PAT THE GAS TO GET IT STARTED AND THEN AT TIMES THAT DOESN'T EVEN WORK
Ok. Try spraying some starting fluid in the throttle body to see if it'll run for a bit, if it does, then u need to check fuel pressure, if it still doesn't then u need to check spark on the plugs
I WAS TOLD IT COULD BE A UPSTREAM OR DOWNSTREAM SENSOR? IS THAT SOMETHING THAT COULD BE CAUSING IT ? AND DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND THAT PART
They're on the exhaust pipe, before and after catalytic converter, it may be the catalytic that's plugged up
Turn the key to on leave for 10 to 15 sec then start it I have the same problem

Tyeshia- sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Could be a fuel filter or fuel pump. Your upstream/downstream sensors are called O2 sensors and I don’t really think they are your problem. Does your car smoke at all while it runs for the little it does? Or does it run rough? Could be your catalytic converter is clogged. Have someone scan it for you, either at an auto parts store or a friend with a scanner and research what codes it brings up. That will help you narrow down the issue. Anvesh- if you have to turn your key to the on position and wait to be able to crank it, that is usually a sign of low fuel flow meaning either your fuel filter is clogged, your fuel pressure regultor is bad, or your fuel pump is about to fail. That buzzing noise you hear when the key is in the on position after the chimming stops is the fuel filter priming the lines. I would check those to be sure.
