Car stalls out at low rpm

Asked by Brotherscri5 Apr 19, 2016 at 11:21 PM about the 2001 Hyundai Accent GL Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've been having problems with my car stalling at
idle and low Rev between shifting, typically when I
down shift near stop lights or signs. My oil needs
changing but not drastically. It's not an over
heating problem from what I can tell. My air filter
is clean but I'm not sure what to check next. Car
always turns back on when I leave it for about 30
minutes as well.

If that is the problem how bad is to continue driving the vehicle. And would I have to be worried about the car not turning on at all at some point?

If that is the problem, easy fix. Also, if that's the problem it won't hurt to drive, but any unresolved problem can cause issues later on.
