Why is my temp guage in the car showing hot but the car is running at 190-199 degress?
Hi I have a 2001 elantra which I thought was having an overheating issue. I have replaced the thermostat and coolant temp guage, the water pump, radiator and fan relay. to me it just seems like maybe the gauge went bad. I put the code checker on it and the temp was running around 190 up to about 199 when the fans kick in and that is where it stayed.
any ideas? Although I don't seem to get much heat, so could there be a blockage somewhere?
Sound like you might have a bad ground..
sound like bad engine heat sensor, does the car shut down when it over heats if it does check the oil if it's tan or turning white you may need a head gasket. engine heat sensor below
I have a 2017 Hyundai Elantra.. well I was driving it. The temperature reached all the way to the H, and then it turned off. It didn't want to start back up. So I open the hood and the raidator cap wasn't put on correctly. Did anything messed up. Will it start once I put coolant.
