Brake issues

Asked by Joseph Sep 16, 2017 at 05:57 PM about the 2001 Hyundai Elantra GLS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ive bled my brakes, replaced the master cylinder,
and has no leaks in the lines, but my brake peddle
still has no pressure behind it and the brakes dont
work. I have no idea what it could be.

You have air in system. Did you bench bleed MC before putting it on? Did ABS pump run dry? You might need the assistance of a bidirectional scan tool to operate the solenoids in the ABS pump to work air downstream.

Did you put the calipers back on with the bleeder valve at the top? Because if the bleeder valve is on the bottom your brakes will never get solid!
