Milky oil

I have a 2000 Ford Mustang. It recently overheated due to a radiator leak. and i blew
one of my head gaskets. Well my dads been working on it and he has gotten it all
back together. He got a new battery. New head gaskets.and everything. well we have
gotten it started a couple times. but it seems to not want to idle correctly. We had
some milky looking oil on the dipstick on the oil. Is there anything else we can do. He
is thinking i have a cracked block or head. I was trying to see if there could be
anything else we could do before we trash it.?

pressure test the cooling system...see if it leaks down first...
