not sure what happened..easy fix or no

Is it a exhaust leak, just go to muffler shop have them weld it up unless the rust has eaten threw and you need to replace the exhaust then do so, easy fix in my book, in other words its not a bad engine or trans, so easy fix.

i dont see anything leaking or whatever...the2 pieces came apart...not sure if they could reconnect or have to replace more than that etc

Looks like exhaust, if you crank it up and its exhaust there should be exhaust gases escaping. Have you tried that, to feel air/gas escaping?
