Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi everyone. I hope someone can help. I just
bought my son a 2000 ford mustang gt and
the shifter started acting weird. First it when
you shift into drove it would reverse or have
to go into 2cd to drive or neutral to reverse.
Then yesterday it just started moving freely
and wont catch a gear at all.  Im in wisconsin
and its going to snow tomorrow. We have
strict road parking rules and we cant afford
the fines. Please help

If sounds like you have a linkage issue. You will have to get under the car to see what broke or came loose. Do you want to try and fix yourself? Check out some youtube videos or Mustang Forums. But if you are in a bind with time, I would have it towed to a garage so they can make a repair.
