Why is my battery light on?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My battery light is on 90% of the time. It flickers at times but is on most all the time. I have had the battery and alternator checked and have all checked good. The battery is 5 yrs old but i have no starting issues with it at all. The car has a charging gauge and it is good. Is this an electrical glitch with the car or is there something wrong? it is annoying.

WHEN A LIGHT FLICKERSC IT'S GOING ON & OFF QUICKLY. A SHORT WOULD {COULD} CAUSE A FLICKER, CHECK YOUR WIRING FOR BREAKS IN THE INSULATION.

Alternator interiors all made in China are crap. Even though they put out the amps. Diodes are lousy! Keep replacing under warranty. Until it runs correctly.
