Battery Light comes on. WHY

Asked by Wira_542 May 28, 2015 at 05:07 PM about the 1995 Ford Mustang GT Convertible RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a new battery, alternator, voltage regulator, starter, I've changed the camshaft
sensor and the crankshaft position sensor. Now my battery light comes on. Sometimes it
goes off when I'm going down the highway. What is causing the light to come on? I have
rechecked the voltage regulator and its holding charge.

The only thing you didn't mention is cables. I assume clean, with new battery, but must be tight, or contact can be intermittent and light come on and off as you describe. Both ends of ground, the other end of ground from battery may be loose/corroded on block.
