Can anyone tell me what this part is called?!! 2000 mustang gt

Asked by Brycelockenour Jan 09, 2018 at 01:42 PM about the 2000 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 mustang gt and I pulled that tube that
makes the car sound cammed, this valve plugs into the
intake manifold, it has two red cords going into one
rubber tube that plugs into the intake manifold. I have
looked everywhere and cannot find a replacement part for
it. I was pulling it off and it ripped and has a huge hole in
it. When I rev my engine it will rev and then fall to low
rpms and sound like it’s about to stall, but it catches itself.
Also, it will randomly idle at high rpms. Any help would be
appreciated.

Update: I found out it’s called a vacuum connector and ford discontinued them. So my best bet to find one is gonna be in a junk yard.
