Windshield wiper fluid

Sure, you just won't have any wiper fluid. That won't affect the engine or transmission in any way.
yes as long as you are sure that is what is leaking.
You might be able to save yourself a trip to the mechanic and some money by fixing it yourself. Open the hood and find the wiper fluid reservoir. Check the hose to it is intact. If the hose split, you can find a slightly larger rubber hose in any auto parts store, and simply use it as a sleeve to rejoin the broken hose. If the fluid reservoir itself is cracked, you'll have to replace it, either with a store bought new one or a used one from any salvage yard. Pull A Parts have them dirt cheap. (like 5 bux vs 30+ for the new ones.)
