That is a really cool car- if it was mine, I would keep it forever- not only is it original, but it is a good looking coupe, and rare with the OHC engine- which I really like- but I am probably one of the few- most American males out there worship at the alter of V8 power- so that engine will keep the value of your otherwise cherry original down- if it was a V8 it would be worth at least 20 grand just as it sits, maybe even 30 grand- but unless you can find an OHC maniac like me who drools over your car and will pay that $30,000 that I think that Firebird is worth, you will probably have to think more like $15,000 or less, and sell it to some guy who will butcher a V8 into it- what a shame-

I had one with a 4 speed. Great car but it ate cam shafts. Had double valve springs and it would round the lobes in 10,000 miles. Dealer made good on the cam 3 times, then it was my problem. Got good at replacing the cam.
