Change my 3.0 5 speed to 4.0 and keep 5 speed?

I have 2000 ranger 3.0 5 speed 4x4. Have option to
purchase a 2006 explorer sport trac with 4.0
automatic. Can I swap to 4.0 and keep 5 speed?

Won't work, you would need to transfer everything electronic over including the entire power train. 3.0 is totally incompatible.Personally I think the 3.0 was a better engine than the 4.0 of that time frame.
