2004 G35 - CD player freezes

Asked by puzzled1976 Jun 09, 2013 at 07:47 PM about the 2004 INFINITI G35 Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Cd player on my 2004 Infinity G35 coup freezes in mid-song.  Does it on different cd's, in different parts - so, not a disk problem.  Does it even while the car is in park - do not because the road is bumpy.  When I don't use the CD player for a few days, it works fine - for a few hours, then starts again.

Tom is right. From what I have read this evening it seems a lot of g35 owners are having similar issues with their CD players. They are replacing them.

yeah... Tom and dandyoun are both correct. I have fixed a few.. it's usually a laser issue.. the only reason I have fixed any at all is because some people (for some unknown reason or another) insist on having it done no matter what because they automatically think a new radio will be cheaper. NOT THE CASE... 9 times out of 10 you'll have more into fixing it than it will cost to buy a new or used one. Just replace it.. it's not economically viable to do anything other than that
