i have a 96 chevy 2500 5.7 votec has fuel n fire wont start.. shut off going down the road like u turned the key off.

Spray a little starting fluid down the throttle body. It should run a few seconds on that. If so it's a fuel problem. If not it's an ignition problem or it's jumped timing. Run a compression test to determine if it's jumped timing. If all cylinders test very low or zero it's jumped timing. Hope that helps! Jim
