Can I put a 2014 SS Camaro rear end under my 1984 C10?

Asked by Johnny Aug 03, 2018 at 02:47 PM about the 1984 Chevrolet C/K 10 Silverado RWD

Question type: Car Customization

I have a chance to get one for a steal and my rear end needs to be replaced
and I wanted to get a rear end that already had disk brakes. Any input is
appreciated.

The Camaro rear axle is probable considered light duty for a pickup. If you use your truck as a truck I would go with a pickup rear axle with disk brakes.

no it will be used as a show truck mostly nothing heavy will be going in the back

Take some measurements but I have little doubt you can make it work. This won't be a bolt in conversion if that is what you are looking for.

Yeah I know it wont bolt right up I just wanted to see if it would fit at all before I buy it

Good luck! Find someone that knows their business to do the conversion because if this is done wrong it could be dangerous or just never drive right.
