power steering belt squeal new belt the tighter it is the louder the squeal

Just replaced the two belts the power steering belt squeals it gets louder the
tighter I make it? I feel like it will fall off if I lose it I think pulling is rubbing if I
Spray it with a drop of water on side of belt it stops need a quick easy fix any
ideas?

If a serpentine belt makes noise, there is an issue with one of the idlers, tensioners, pulleys or belt driven accessories. Locate the problem and repair it and the noise will go away. Pay close attention to the belt's alignment.

some cars as far as tightness concern are tighter than usual to the point u think u might break the belt ...i would check for wobble at all pulleys as that would indicate if u have a bearing going bad on that particular one if it wobbles and u may have found your squeal ...

I know it's the power steering pump and the tighter I make it the louder the squeal
