I was driving on highway then my truck stopped being in gear now won't go into any gear

I'm guessing a automatic transmission. Check the tranny fluid? Check for Codes. Check tranny fluid pressure. Check linkages going to tranny. Pull the pan check for metal in pan. Replace filter, flush tranny, blow out lines cooler with some low pressure air.. Drain converter...refill with fluid and pray it works....I'd check for codes....
