New 6.0 vortex engine

I am looking a 98 chevy z71. The owner put a new
6.0 in it. Will computer work ok with that engine.
Just worried about computer. Isn't it preset to the
old 5.3. I really don't know anything about trucks.

The truck you have listed "98 c/k truck" never came with a 5.3 or 6.0. They had the older generation 5.0 or 5.7. To swap to a 6.0 is a big swap, that truck's factory computer will not run a 6.0

Ok. I wasnt sure what engine it came with. All I know as they told me they put a 6.0 in it. I know I need to dig deeper on this.

It's very cool if they do have a 6.0 in it. Lots of guys want that swap. Does it currently run at all or did they just drop it in? There is alot that would go into making it work. Look up "ls swap:
