Malfunctioning gauges,fuel,transmission

Asked by JonathanRando Jul 22, 2016 at 12:07 AM about the 1996 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab 4WD

I was driving at 55 mph and the tack and
speedometer went all the way to the right then all
the way left and stayed there it also lost overdrive
and would not shift down and the check engine
light came on after about one minute the gauges
started working again but the check engine light
stayed on and after I stopped and started going
again it would not shift in to overdrive. Today I
went to get the codes read but the check engine
light went off on its own it's the second time it has
done it could it be the computer going bad?

Also it has been missing while it is in drive at a stop after it is at temperature it does not miss at all when warming up and will cut out when in a low load like going over a bridge or slightly accelerating could they be linked?
