brake lights

just put a brake light switch on my 1996 chevy cheyenne c1500 still no brake
lights.already checked the bulbs,fuses.brake relay, etc.any ideas?

    When my lights are off and I hit the brakes my parklights come on with brakelights. Also my brakelights do not work everytime when lights are on. Do u think this would be my brakelight switch?
