95 chevy silverado dying around 1000 rpm

Asked by Andyy95 Jan 02, 2017 at 07:09 PM about the 1995 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 95 silverado it idles fine but when your
taking off slow and it hits around 1000 rpms its
starts to bog down and almost cuts off and when
you get around 4000 rpms it runs decent but when
you let out the gas it starts surging kinda like a
skip. Fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, tps sensor has
all been replaced still have this problem tho

Check the EGR Valve system, and check the throttle body base gasket, and snug up the intake manifold bolts.

There could a few things that will cause your truck to bogg down, 1) clogged catalytic converter, bad 02 sensors, vacuum leak or collapsed vacuum hose, you may want to check a flooded. Also you could have clogged fuel injectors..
