1993 chevy silverado 5.7L v8

Asked by Nolan Jan 08, 2021 at 12:33 PM about the 1993 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was having issues with my truck not going into reverse so
I parked it for a week or so then brought it to the
transmission shop. On the way to the shop the truck felt
like it was going to stall out every time I pressed on the gas
to much but I made it there. I had the 4l60e 2wd
transmission rebuilt but couldn't even leave the shop
because the problem persisted. If I apply too much throttle
it try to stall, if I stop at a light it runs rough. If I let it idle in
park or neutral it runs good for a few minutes then
becomes rough. I put the truck in my code reader and its
reading the codes 58,72,73,81,85. I brought the truck back
to the transmission shop since 3 of the codes where
transmission related and they replaced the parts that went
with the codes. But the codes stayed even after I erased
them. The alternator, battery, and fuel filter are brand new.
Any ideas?

Brought it over to my own shop and put it on the lift. Transmission is definitely not at fault. After running some field test I found the issue with the throttle not being able to be fully engaged. Looking at the data stream on the code reader it appears to be a fuel issue. Whether or not its in the fuel lines, rails, tank, or pump i am unsure of.
