Truck overheating

Asked by WillDaves Sep 15, 2019 at 02:06 PM about the 1992 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck starts and runs fine for 7 or 20
miles...whatever needed...as long as you are
driving. When you stop the temp climbs fast
and overheats and dumps the water.
I have already checked all the hoses, replaced
the thermostat and water pump....what's
next?

That's my next thought...it's my son's truck...so I have to rely on 17 year olds answers and descriptions. I will replace the fan clutch next week...thanks for the help.
