chevy truck overheating

Asked by Dfresh1 Sep 02, 2019 at 09:12 AM about the 1989 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Cheyenne RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck started running hot for a minute or two, then cools down, then runs hot for
a few minutes back to cool.  Replaced heater core, thermostat and upper/lower
radiator hoses.  Flushed radiator.  Still does same thing, hot for a minute cools
down then hot again.  Suggestions please.

air pockets ? Sounds like a bad thermostat but you replaced it , the fan may have a clutch on it that's bad
