Ordered NGK v power racing spark plugs for my 89 Chevy 1500. They sent me ones for a 99-06 Chevy. They work and it runs. What's the worse that could happen?

Assuming the plugs are the same length, the only potential problem might be the heat range is too cold or too hot. If they are too cold the plugs might foul and if too hot they could burn up but I think they will work just fine.

Thanks a lot and there only gapped 2.5 my truck calls for 4.5. Not sure if I should gap them since there a V plug are not?

I would re-gap the plugs and if you have any questions ask NGK --- https://www.ngksparkplugs.com/contact-us
