No power to back lights at all don't know what it is

Can't get any power to the lights in the back on a 1988
chevy Silverado 1500

Have you checked the fuse for the lights, or made sure the bulbs aren’t blown? If you get a surge it can run through the back end of the truck. Mine wasn’t grounded well.
