Water spraying out side of the motor

Asked by Tina Renee Dec 17, 2020 at 09:53 PM about the 2002 Isuzu Rodeo LS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need to know if it's the o rings or the freeze plug
that is spraying water out of the engine. It only
does it when it is running. And I need to know how
to replace it?

You need to find the leak and determine if it is coming from a freeze plug. Replacing it could be difficult if there is no access.

It could be a cracked hose or the water pump too. Like FOR mentioned, you need to find the leak and determine a fix.

So we tore the engine down to the crankshaft pulley and I can see oneof the freeze plugs is pushed out and has rust around it. I also was wanting to know if there is no thermostat in it will that cause it to leak also?.?
