C3 Corvette

The early C3 is the most desirable- read: rarest, in good condition- restored they will cost almost as much as a C2! as a result, check auctions for one- they are high dollar expect to pay $40,000 for a good one, for a 427 maybe $80-100
You can get a C-3 for a reasonable price. Remember, it is approaching 45 years old. Stay away from the 68 as they had new design issues. The 68 and 69 had vacuum windshield wipers, that other years did not. For the year it was out, they were hot on the road. You can for a little expense most the power up. My 69 still beat the Z-06 that was introduced in the early turn of the century. I never lost to a Porsche, or a rice rocket. If you get one completely restored, yes you pay top bucks, but if you want to tinker, which you will on older cars, check to on line used C-3 Vettes for sale. This is a picture of my up-grades on my 69 Vette. I'll post one of the car.
This is my car, which has won several show and shine awards.
