rattling sound coming between the third raw and the rear window

Asked by GuruDBWWT4 Nov 17, 2024 at 11:16 AM about the 2017 Toyota Highlander Limited Platinum

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2017 Toyota Highlander, and I've noticed a rattling sound coming
from the area between the third row and the rear window of the passenger
side. We've already checked under the car, including the muffler and
suspension, but found no issues. The noise seems to be coming from inside
the car, but I can't pinpoint its exact source. Sometimes it goes away on its
own. Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any suggestions?

Have found a lot of stuff under carpets and floor mats in rigs through the years. You have to get a general location then just start removing trim and flooring until you find it.
