My flashing light symbol with a
exclamation kept flashing was
unaware of what it was suddenly the
car wont move when put in gear

Opps, the exclamation point is indicating transmission problems. I know you said the car doesn't move, but the codes need to be read to pin point problem. It may be as simple as a shift solenoid.
