Wrench warning symbol

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Wrench light comes on, car will not move until I cut off and restart, then wrench
disappears and 2017 Ford Expedition XLT will move forward. Problem is,
cannot drive to auto shop where they can scan for code. Does computer hold
alert, so auto shop with a more advanced scanner, can pickup code(s)?

Mine is doing the same thing. Have you found out what the problem was.

I am having same problem with my 2017 expedition this needs to be recalled as I called the dealer they would not give me an answer.. I have been in chat rooms this is happening a lot in the expedition

2018 did the same thing. Engine turn over two time and lock up with Yellow wrench on display. I disconnect battery and let sit. It started up, and no more wrench symbol. Repair shop said that can't find anything wrong now.
