WHAT KUND OF ANSWER IS THAT
Evan about a second ago Squeaking Noise
Sqeaking noise from engine. Noise stops when I
take serpentine belt off then start car. Thought it
was the pulley it wasn't. I noticed belt tensioner
has alot of bouncing movement. My other Rodeo
tensioner doesn't bounce like that. Could my belt
tensioner be bad? I did put a wrench on the
tensioner nut while running pulled back to put
extra tensioner on the belt and to stop tensioner
from jumping so much the noise got quiet. Your

That was a good observation and a good idea to apply more tension and notice that it quieted down. So I think you are correct to replace the tensioner. The spring is probably half broken. You are lucky to have an extra identical vehicle to compare. Good Luck Evan.
