Apparently it is equipped? Why do you say it is not?
I don't have buttons for this system on the steering wheels or on the dash, and also there is no camera or laser sensor installed.
I have a 2019 camry LE and it is doing the same thing. Mine is installed with these features. Toyota techs say it is the cameras temperature gauge in the front camera telling it to shut down because it is getting to hot so therefore the lights are coming on. Stated that this was a safety feature. I have about laughed my ass off at them. I can be setting still or driving it and the collision light and the lane assist light will come and stay on for about 15 minutes then go off and proceed to come on and off until i shut the car off. Then it may not do it again for another week or so. My advice would be to take your camry in for service.
Did you fix this problem? Did you take your camry to a toyota dealer? I have the same problem. Any idea how can i fix this problem?
Apparently this problem is so common, that of the 6 friends I have that also have 2018 Carmy's or newer, ALL of them.have this problem. One friend had it come on within the first 290 miles. My came on, took it to dealer, had it fixed. $128. Next day, it came on again. This time another $78. Next day, came on again. They wanted more money. I just let the damned thing stay on now. Don't know how to disable it. But I'm not paying am average of $100 every single day to get ot fixed. Waiting for the recall now.
I took my Camry to you he dealer numerous times. They tell me it’s a safety feature and that’s it. Won’t fix it. Contacted main Toyota. They say the same thing. Denied my lemon law request as well. I hope they do a recall. I turned the system off. I got tired of seeing the lights. And it randomly says put hands on wheel when they were already there. Lol.
I've got 2019 Camry SE (4 cyl) with 1,700 miles on it. Have experienced intermittent activation of PCS warning light since 1,500 mile mark (for about a week). Have noticed a particular pattern of malfunction -- the warning light usually comes on when it rains or drizzles (as this morning). Last week the malfunction would manifest itself in PCS dashboard light coming on. This morning however the light came on, then went off for a while. Ultimately the message popped up saying PCS OFF -- CLEAN SENSOR. Have an appointment with Toyota dealer techs this Fri. @ Ronald, I would not pay, and thereby discourage others from paying for warranty repair, even for the so-called 'diagnostic' time that many dealers claim. The problem IS known to Toyota authorized dealers. And if not I would doubt their 'expertise'.
I have a 2018 Camry XLE and had a similar issue. In January, my pre-collision system camera heated up so much it caused a fire on the inside of my car. Toyota sent out an inspector to look at it. 18 months before this incident, I had the windshield replaced on my car because of debris falling from a truck. Toyota is saying that the issue is due to the windshield installed by safelite. Toyota left the camera plugged in and it was still heating up and smoking. I had to unplug it myself (pictures attached)
I am having light come on Toyota is saying that it’s because the windshield was replaced with a non- Toyota windshield. The Apex class is saying that that is not the problem.

All the answers here are incorrect. Sorry. I do all types of Safety System calibrations on all cars. It has to do with your installer and what parts he/she used. It also shows it pays to take it to a professional as the problem would have been caught on test drive. And for those that says re-calibration isn't needed if the camera isn't unplugged. I have tons of safety data showing the degraded performance or fully non performance when not paying to get it calibrated. It may look like it is working but where is it looking? It is a wreck waiting to happen. Also, YOU the owner are liable when you sell the vehicle with a known safety feature being out of calibration.
No answer as my 2017 Toyota Camry XLE V6 sitting in the the Toyota dealership waiting on a miracle to happen as no one can figure why the crash detection system will not turn off. Replaced PO500 transmission sensor and still testing on day 6. Leaving my wife and I with one vehicle to communicate to work and home . Lmao. If I would have known that this new technology was just crap that will cause you to get into an accident or be liable. I wouldn't of purchased a Toyota of such 6 months ago , with 44000 miles (time of purchase 38986). Unbelievable Toyota. The car runs great . But buyer beware as the new Toyota technology is not ready for people to relay on . Only time will tell what happens to my Toyota the I purchased for the wife !!!
