Safe? Kids in third row Volvo XC90 while second row folded?

Asked by GuruBK4RC Jan 09, 2019 at 03:53 PM about the 2017 Volvo XC90 T6 Inscription AWD

Question type: General

Is it safe or unsafe to have kids in third row of
XC90 while the second row is folded down?

I thought I remember seeing it in the manual
somewhere (that you should keep second
row up) but cannot find it now and don’t
know what the reasoning would be for
keeping it up. My kids would love to stretch
their legs for a long trip.
Thanks!

I see no issue as long as they are belted in. If there is loose luggage inside the car that would be a safety issue in an accident.
