If you have the T6, at least mid grade would be preferred, but you should not have a problem running on regular 87 octane.

DO NOT run a T6 on regular. It is a twin turbo. You will shorten the life of your engine. It really does matter. I work with Volvos everyday & drive them myself. Also with a T6, easy on the transmission. They are known to have transmission issues but can last if you baby them. Enthusiasts will recommend getting the transmission flushed every 40k miles in the T6 models. Synthetic oil only for your engine. I believe it should also state the fuel recommended on the inside of your fuel door.
