Is it cheesy to paint calipers

My car is in carbite gray
I really like the look of red or black calipers but
would never spend a grand+ on a big brake kit for
commuting to work every day.
I wonder if it just looks dumb having black or red,
stock sized calipers.
If not im having them powered coat

Not at all, mind you most spray paint won't last long on a caliper. It's a combination of high heat and brake dust and brake fluid that will just make most spray paints look really bad fast. Most resto-rods I've seen either go with Hammerite paint, which is super tough, or Halford's caliper paint. Hammerite comes in several colors as well.
Powdercoat them or it is cheesy. Red is the color you want.
Ditto KenF, Hammerite paint, which is super tough, or Halford's caliper paint BUT PICK NEON GREEN, YELLOW, OR ORANGE. Ever one will stand back in awe dude. If you can find it.
