beeping after battery change

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I had AAA put a new battery in my 2017 Outback a couple of days ago and now when the car starts moving (starts just fine) either in reverse or drive, a beeping starts up- not an alarm just a beeping sound like you might get if you weren't wearing a seat belt. I'm guessing something has to be reset after the battery change??

I replaced the battery in my 2017 Outback yesterday and now I am experiencing the same issue with the beeping. On another forum people mentioned their hatch would not open and I discovered my hatch wont open no matter what I try. Sorry I don't have a solution but try checking your hatch. When I'm driving it does sound like the beeping is coming from the hatch as I hear it behind me.
I have the same issue on my 2017 Outback 3.6R. Hatch will not open, and beeping when driving. When I find a solution I will post here.
So.. couple of things: 1. If you press the button under the hatch for about 10-20 seconds, it will manually unlock. You will need to manually lift it up, and if you try to close it electronically (with the button), it will not respond. So you need to close it manually as well. 2. With your key fob - you press 3 times simultaneously the car open and hatch open button, it seems to reset things and you are back to normal with a hatch that opens and closes electronically.
