How do I get my heater to work again?

My heater blower was working fine all
day and I went to work and 5 hours
later I went to start my car and it
wouldn't blow at all out of the vents
also my check engine light came on
as well. Heat comes out the vents just
doesn't blow.

The blower motor is bad or the blower motor resistor. Does it run on it's highest fan speed only? Then it's the resistor. If it doesn't run at all, then it's the motor. On very rare occasions it might be the selector switch that is bad, you'll need a multimeter to determine that, however most of the time it's the blower motor or resistor pack.
