where is the trany shift solinoid on a gm 350 trany? I ask because it will not stay running when put in gear.

there isn't a shift solenoid on a th350.there is a vacuum modulator. you may have a vacuum leak @ the modulator or on the intake manifold..spray wd40 around the vacuum lines if engine rpm changes you have a vacuum leak. a leak will cause engine to die under a load
