Turning off headlights while car is on and idling.

I own a 2014 grand Cherokee and when I’m sitting
in my car at night with the car on I can shut off my
headlights with the light switch but my friend has a
2017 grand Cherokee and her truck doesn’t seem
to have that feature or does it?

Your friend needs to set the parking brake before starting the engine. That will keep the headlights from coming on. Hope that helps! Jim

Yes that worked for me. Thanks! When you turn the parking brake on that is what makes the lights go off when the car is parked.
How do you turn them off while driving very slowly through a Christmas light display for instance?

Went into the settings on the main screen display and found Settings. Then found Lights. Unchecked Display Daylight Running Lights. After that could turn off the headlights.
