Isuzu trooper Stuck in 4wd

My 94 is is a trooper stuck in four-wheel-
drive we just took off the Tran Or whatever
it is my husband told me to say that I don't
know what it is and I'll pull the switch for
the winter drive but I'm still concerned that
it may cause problems if there is anyone
that can help me resolve these issues
please let me know
