Im having the same problem, the only thing I did is change the fuel pump. It was running, but the reason why we changed it, is because it had low fuel pressure and it was stuttering. It did solve the problem for low fuel pressure, however i tried it and it still stuttered and tried it again and it stuttered until it could no loneger move forward. We believed that the MAF sensor could be the problem, not the transmission. Anybody have an idea why it does not move forward anymore? Its an Isuzu Axiom 2002.

Stop listening to this bullshit and drop trans pan. Replace the shift solenoids associated with your foward gears. Top of fluids and drive
