2017 Sentra SV CVT

I have a 2017 Nissan Sentra SV, the check engine light came on, code reads
P1715, Now my car when trying to drive it wont go anywhere, the RPM's go up
but the car wont move. Would this code cause this to happen?

Codes are not the cause, just the messenger. I think the POS Nissan CVT has packed it in.
