1999 Ford Eplorer Sport Completely died, electronics and all.....
Hey everyone, I appreciate any responses as I know little about cars and
am stuck. I started my explorer (it fired up fine) and backed it into the
garage to load some stuff. My daughter was playing with the power seat
control (the car was off) when all of a sudden the seat stopped moving but
she was still pressing the button. She played with it a total of maybe 5
seconds. I then tried to start the car and nothing. No turning over, no
power windows, locks, lights, radio, etc. Completely died. I took 2
screwdrivers and touched both battery poles and it sparked just like it was
fine. Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong? No electronics
will work whatsoever and the car doesn't even attempt to do anything when
I turn the key. And again, the battery at least appears to be fine although I
don't actually have an altimeter to test it. However, I replaced the fuel
pump about a week ago (with help) and tested the batter then just
because, and it was fine. Could this be some type of master fuse? Thanks
for any responses.
