Car cranking

Asked by GuruP83LN Jan 24, 2020 at 10:11 PM about the 2005 Ford Mustang V6 Deluxe Coupe RWD

My battery was dead went to jump it would not
stop turn the key fast a couple time an to try grab
some spark now when I barely turn my key half
way the car starts trying to crank repeatedly but
will not start..what's does this mean is the
computer fried? How do I fix the stop the fast
cranking before I could turn the key all the way
before the initial crank no barely turn out of off
position an will try to crank probably 10 time in 5
secoundes.

Sounds like probably the ignition switch. $50.00. I just looked it up

That sounds more like a bad starter relay that got stuck in the closed position or melted contacts together, check relay first.
