Which decision is better to get a modern expensive wrangler or an old one in a good condition?

I am leaving in the gulf area , that will cost
me alot if I willget a new one . Between
model of 2012 used or 2005 ? Thanks

Jeeps are model cars for adults. They are wasted as commuters. 2012 has the Pentastar engine and a 5-speed auto available. The 2005 TJ is underpowered. If it has the small 4 cylinder, pass on it. Your only real decision is how much money you can afford to spend. Buy the newest you can afford if you love Jeeps and plan to keep it. Mine is a 2003 and I prefer it over the new ones - but I run a Chevy 383 stroker motor in it.
