motor of a 3.7 04 jeep liberty be replaced by a 3.7 06 liberty motor?

Asked by Natasha Mar 06, 2020 at 10:03 AM about the 2004 Jeep Liberty Sport 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have two jeep libertys, one 04 an one 06. 04 liberty entire
motor is bad but body and all other parts are good. The 06
has a very good motor still but has expensive bodywork
from back collision and the wheel conecter that needs to
be fixed, cost is way too much. I wanted to know if there
was any way to exchange the two motors even if other
parts would need to be bought to do so.

A 3.7 is a 3.7....My have slightly different computer modules and such, but that won't stop you from swapping the motor.
