Why doesn't my truck crank after 2 new ignition coils?

Asked by Barbara Aug 09, 2021 at 09:17 PM about the 2008 GMC Yukon Denali AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 08 Yukon Denali 6.2L w/ 177k. Few
weeks ago I replaced Cylinder 1 and 7 ignition
coils. Today 90 degree weather. I used my
auto start. Ran an errand and came back
home. Went to crank again with key, there
was no start, no crank, no power. Just got a
new battery about 4 months and its reading
14 on dash. Can somebody tell me what
could have caused this. I replaced all plugs,
wires, cat converter drive side, upstream O2
sensors, MAF, recharged K&N filter, multiple
fuel systems to chase down rough idle. What
am I missing? I'm thinking about trying be
wires on 1&7 again. Any help will be
incredible!

Check your battery and make sure both wires are tight. If you have no power at all it has to be something with the battery. Did you try your auto start?
