My 1999 Ford explorer is burning oil and white smoke. I found oil in the carburetor and coming out the exhaust. Coming down the interstate today the check engine light came on running ragged now?

You need a re-manufactured engine your's is blown. If you have a V6 4.0, two were offered in 99 the 4.0 SOHC and the old style 4.0 push rod. A 4.0 from any year newer will be the SOHC engine. I'd choose the 4.0 push rod engine as the SHOC engines had problems with cam guides which are expensive to replace.
